Nvidia invests in Simplismart, whose software runs AI models on fewer GPUs

Bengaluru-based Simplismart raised a $14 million Series B led by Dallas Venture Capital, with Nvidia, Accel, Shastra VC and Micromax participating, at a valuation of about $100 million. Its software tunes how AI models use compute, and the company says it cut InVideo's GPU serving costs by 56%.
Key points
- Simplismart raised $14 million at about a $100 million valuation, with Nvidia among investors.
- The company says it cut InVideo's GPU serving costs by 56%.
- Annualized revenue run rate grew 14-fold in six months, the company said.
What happened: Nvidia has invested in Simplismart, a Bengaluru startup whose software helps companies run AI models more efficiently, sometimes on fewer GPUs, TechCrunch reported. The company raised a $14 million all-primary Series B led by Dallas Venture Capital, with Nvidia, Accel, Shastra VC and Micromax participating. The deal values the four-year-old company at about $100 million.
The details: Simplismart's software sits between AI models and the infrastructure they run on, adjusting response speed, request throughput and compute use. Customers can deploy through its platform or their existing cloud or on-premises setups, and it also offers fine-tuning, automatic scaling and performance monitoring. The company says it cut AI video platform InVideo's GPU serving costs by 56%. Other customers include HeyGen, Higgsfield, Ema and Indian cloud provider Yotta. Its annualized revenue run rate grew 14-fold in six months to an eight-figure sum, though CEO Amritanshu Jain did not disclose the exact number.
Background: Jain and co-founder Devansh Ghatak, former Oracle and Google engineers, started the company in 2022. Beyond investing, Nvidia has worked with Simplismart on integrations including its Dynamo inference software. Jain argued that more efficient inference could make Nvidia hardware more attractive. "Nobody actually needs the fastest or the cheapest inference," he said.
What to watch: Simplismart plans to expand in the U.S., which already accounts for more than half its revenue. It competes with Nvidia, AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and a growing number of startups.
Our take
Inference optimization layers are maturing, giving teams that run their own models a way to cut GPU bills without changing providers.
