SpaceXSI bundles X Premium, Grok and Cursor into one subscription

SpaceX Super Intelligence (SpaceXSI) is combining X Premium, Grok and the Cursor coding tool into a single plan called The X Subscription, TechCrunch reported. Paid tiers run from $8 to $200 a month, with access to the latest Grok models starting at the $30 Premium tier.

Key points

  • The X Subscription bundles X Premium, Grok, Grok's agentic AI Bot and Cursor.
  • Paid tiers cost $8, $30, $100 and $200 per month, with rising AI usage caps.
  • The latest Grok models require at least the $30 Premium tier.

What happened: The company now known as SpaceX Super Intelligence, or SpaceXSI, is bundling its subscriptions into a single plan called The X Subscription, TechCrunch reported on October 13. The bundle covers X Premium, Grok and Cursor. The company hopes it will attract more subscribers than any single product could as it competes with OpenAI, Anthropic and others for paid AI users.

The details: The plan includes Grok AI chat with voice, images, video and API support, Grok's agentic AI Bot, Cursor for AI coding, and X Premium features such as the verified checkmark, creator tools and fewer ads. A free tier offers limited chat and agent usage without the latest Grok models. Paid tiers are Plus at $8 a month, Premium at $30 a month, Super at $100 a month and Ultra at $200 a month. Premium is required for the latest Grok models, and AI usage caps rise with each tier.

Who it affects: The company said the comparable plan for existing X Premium+ subscribers costs the same or less under the new structure. Current users can switch from their subscription settings on X or keep their existing plan. The upgrade option is rolling out gradually.

What to watch: SpaceXSI has not disclosed how Cursor usage limits differ across tiers or whether standalone Cursor plans will change. TechCrunch did not report subscriber numbers for any of the bundled products.

Our take

Teams already paying for Cursor or Grok should compare the bundle tiers against their current plans before renewing.
