What it is
AssetGate is an early-stage brokerage for data and software IP licensing, focused on European businesses and starting with the Nordics and UK. It helps companies find out whether AI buyers might license what they already hold: software codebases, engineering history such as commits, reviews and issues, documented workflows and decisions, internal technical documentation and specialist industry datasets. You answer a short questionnaire with no files or system access and get a qualitative read, not a price. If there is buyer interest, any licence is agreed directly with the buyer in writing, ownership stays with you unless you agree otherwise, and your identity is not shared without permission. Asking is free; AssetGate earns a referral fee or success-based commission, agreed in writing, only if a licence is signed.
