Microsoft Agent Framework
Microsoft's open-source .NET and Python framework for production AI agents and workflows.
What it is
Microsoft Agent Framework is an MIT-licensed, multi-language framework for building production-grade agents and multi-agent workflows in .NET and Python. It is Microsoft's recommended successor to AutoGen, with migration guides from both AutoGen and Semantic Kernel. It is aimed at enterprise developers moving agents from prototype to production.
Heads up: AutoGen is in maintenance mode, community managed, with no new features. Microsoft points new users to Microsoft Agent Framework.
