What it is
Retool is a platform for building internal tools that connect to databases, APIs and LLMs. Users can describe an app and have AI generate it, build with drag-and-drop components, run workflows and deploy agents. Apps inherit existing permissions and include auth, audit logs and SSO on higher plans. An MCP server and CLI let coding tools like Claude Code and Cursor build and deploy Retool apps.
